The B10 is the first instrument in the Barossa range by Glanville & Co. Glanville & Co. is a local workshop located right in the heart of Sydney. They were founded on the belief that all Australians should have access to music education and quality instruments that will nurture their development. It is through the fusion of technology & tradition that Glanville & Co. have been able to produce high-quality, customisable, innovative & affordable instruments that are entirely Australian made. This instrument comes with a certificate of authenticity.
The B10 has a two-piece maple back with a light flame, while the top is made from spruce. This instrument is based on a Guarneri violin model. This violin has a good cover of red-brown varnish with light shading, inspired by the red-tones of a full-bodied shiraz - the Barossa Valley’s specialty. The B10 is fitted with Wittner fine-tune pegs, an ebony tailpiece & a Teller Master bridge.
The B10 has a bright, bold & articulate sound with a good level of clarity & focus. It would be suitable for beginners, early-intermediate players & the serious amateur. This violin is strung with Larsen Tzigane strings to add a level of warmth & complexity to the overall brightness of this instruments sound.
